Toms of Finland

Toms of Finland is a drag king duo act created by Krishna Istha and Ray Filar. It comically portrays 80’s gay leathermen and is a homage to queer icon Tom of Finland. The act sees them struggling to decide who gets to play the top. The Toms cruise each other, dance, strip, compare muscles and eventually one is the victor.
Created for Man Up! Drag King competition at The Glory, London 2016. Performed at The Glory, Royal Vauxhall Tavern, Buzzcut festival as a part of ‘Fuck Soup, and was featured in ‘Portaloo’, a virtual reality performance piece by Jocelyn Anquetil.
